Yields: 1-2 servings Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 1-2 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar

  • 1 large egg yolk

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips

Equipment:

  • Microwave-safe bowl

  • Fork

  • Spoon

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a microwave-safe bowl, whisk together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

  2. Add Egg Yolk: Stir in the egg yolk until fully incorporated.

  3. Dry Ingredients: In a separate small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. Add Chocolate Chips: Stir in the chocolate chips.

  6. Microwave: Microwave the cookie dough in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, for a total of 1-2 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

  7. Cool and Enjoy: Let the cookies cool in the bowl for a few minutes before enjoying.

Tips & Variations:

  • For a crispier cookie: Increase the cooking time by a few seconds.

  • For a softer cookie: Reduce the cooking time by a few seconds.

  • Add-ins: Get creative with your add-ins! Try chopped nuts, dried fruit, peanut butter chips, or sprinkles.

  • Double the recipe: For a larger batch, double the ingredients and use a larger microwave-safe bowl.
