Air Fryer Crispy Chocolate Butter Cake: Dense, Rich & Easy Recipe! Get That Perfect Crispy Edge With This Simple Air Fryer Dessert

This recipe focuses on achieving that desired crisp exterior while maintaining a rich, dense, and chocolaty interior.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup chocolate chips (for extra chocolaty texture)

Instructions:

  • Prepare the Batter:

    • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

    • Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated.

    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

    • Stir in the vanilla extract and chocolate chips. Do not overmix.

  • Prepare the Air Fryer:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).

    • Grease and flour a 6-inch or 7-inch round baking pan that fits inside your air fryer basket. You can also line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

  • Bake the Cake:

    • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

    • Place the pan in the air fryer basket.

    • Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    • The top should be nicely browned and crispy.

  • Cool and Serve:

    • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, you can dust with powdered sugar, or drizzle with chocolate. Enjoy your air fryer crispy chocolate butter cake!
